Our approach is based on the premise: "We succeed if our clients succeed and make better profits".
Therefore, when we sell our genetics we endeavour to deliver a tailored client-servicing package to the client. It should be a partnership for the future.
This is because five key steps need to be taken in unison so as to maximise speed of progress with SRS® genetics:
Pegging sheep at 1999 workshop
To encourage clients to undertake the five steps, Severn Park offers a classing service to clients and strongly recommends it is utilised so as to maximise speed of genetic improvement.
Without implementing the five steps, potential genetic gains are at least halved.
Charlie Massy is both a registered SRS® sheep and wool classer. Standard rates for classing clients' sheep are based at $600 per day plus travelling component. (This generally works out to 20 to 30 cents/head).
For Severn Park clients there is no fee for the first half day inspection and classing visit. For non clients: arrangement by negotiation.
Severn Park stands by its product, and replaces any ram failing to perform into year two.
We are always available for advice, and have inaugurated small support group meetings for such issues as CAI feedback so as to share experience.

To enhance the knowledge of our clients regarding SRS® breeding and fibre management and classing, and thus to further their speed of progress, we run an annual SRS® workshop at Severn Park in the spring.
These workshops cover such areas as:
Within two weeks of our annual ram auction, we run an Inspection Open Day in the spring. On display are:
For new clients and those swinging over to the SRS® system on Severn Park, we can offer a fully integrated package to initiate and rapidly execute an SRS® breeding plan. This includes:
This special Package fee by arrangement.
